Anthony Mauzy

New Berlin is the practice of Anthony Mauzy — DJ, VJ, and video installation artist based in Los Angeles. The project started in 2002 in the electroclash and indie sleaze era, when downtown parties were still underground and the line between DJ set and performance was worth blurring.

Over twenty years: SXSW official showcases, residencies at La Cita DTLA and Beauty Bar Austin, site-specific installation commissions at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH). Collaborators have included Peaches and Crash Berlin.

The installations are dual-projector, site-specific — built around each space's architecture, light conditions, and intended audience. The DJ and VJ sets are MIDI-driven responsive environments, not loops. The rig is self-sufficient: full PA, DJ deck, custom fabricated projection surfaces. No venue equipment required.
